Host your next party Upstairs at Chin Chin exclusively for up to 115 guests seated, or 160 guests cocktail style. From birthday celebrations to Christmas occasions – the Chin Chin team will have you covered in our fresh new events space in the heart of Flinders Lane.

Vivacious interiors by George Livissianis adorn the space, with soft pink furnishings bringing the space to life. Drenched in natural sunlight throughout the day, the space then transitions seamlessly into the evening looking out onto the city lights.

With a diverse range of preferred suppliers to assist with any necessary final touches, entertainment or any audio-visual requirements, the space is versatile to suit any style of event – breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Various seated floorplans are available depending on your guest numbers and preferred style. The space can seat at a maximum:
– 115 Guests – Five Rectangular Tables (Two Longer & Three Shorter)
– 85 Guests – Five Long Rectangular Tables, with Dancefloor Area
– 58 Guests – One Long Table
– 60 Guests – Boardroom Style

Our banquet and canape style feed me menus leave your guests with the trademark Chin Chin taste encompassing a carefully blended mix of freshness, spice, heat and exotic herbs. Signature cocktails are shaken behind the stunning feature bar, together with a detailed wine list on offer showcasing local and international talent.

A minimum spend on food and beverage will apply to secure the space, dependant on booking date and event timings. Liaise with our dedicated Events Team to discuss pricing and availability for your event.

Yes! Please request our preferred supplier list who know and love our venue

Yes! You can absolutely arrange a bar tab for your event. We offer both beverages on consumption as well as beverage packages for all of your drinking needs!

The venue is located on Flinders Lane, in between Russel St & Exhibition St. Trains come directly into Flinders St Station as well as Parliament Station, and Trams run along both Flinders Street & Collins Street, with nearby stops.

There is a plethora of parking available close to the venue. We recommend Le Garage, with access via Flinders Lane (and Flinders Street) as our closest neighbour!

We do allow guests to BYO cake into our Event Space, a cakage fee will apply. Please liaise with the Events Team on this.

We can accommodate a wide range of allergy restrictions including vegetarian, gluten-free and seafood or shellfish allergies with prior notice. Please discuss further with your event manager.

The rooms are divided with curtains and a sound reducing screen. Whilst not 100% soundproof external noise is minimal and will not effect your event experience.

You are welcome to bring in AV equipment for a Chin Chin Exclusive Event. Non exclusive events are unable to use amplified sound. We have a microphone available onsite, which projects through our speaker system.

Spend on food and beverage contributes to the minimum spend commitment for your event. Any other confirmed items will be charged over and above your minimum spend including AV, Entertainment & Decorative Hire items.

Menu substitutions can be accommodated on request. Please note there may be an additional cost for any substitutions away from our set menus.

Chin Chin accepts paid deposit/bond as confirmation and acceptance of our Terms & Conditions. All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable to another date, venue or room.

Bookings are accepted on a first available basis. Bookings will only be confirmed with return of a signed Event Contract and payment of the deposit.
